Follow Up Care for High-Risk Newborns
The Cleary Center for Newborn Specialty Care at Jefferson Abington Hospital has cared for over 1800 high-risk newborns in our since 2018. Premature and high-risk newborns transitioning from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) receive nutritional services, developmental support and expert neonatal care, positioning these newborns and their families to overcome their challenges & thrive at home.
Primary Care for Underinsured Newborns
In 2023, the Newborn Specialty Care team expanded services under True North Pediatrics and began providing care for over 600 newborns a year, born to families with limited resources. We provide comprehensive services to these families including primary newborn care, sick care, vaccinations and social services to gain access to food, transportation, safe housing and behavioral health resources.
